The Workshop "Coastal Geoarchaeology for the public" was successfully organised in NW Peloponnese, Greece, with the participation of people from Greece, Italy, France.

Brief description

Aix-Marseille University in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and University of Trieste, organized a Workshop in the framework of Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership “McAgenda”, with the participation of the 3 Universities, Local primary and secondary schools, the Municipality of Andravida-Kyllene, Local Ephorates and Museums, private companies, NGOs, students of different Universities, and the wider public. Arrival to the city of Lechaina, NW Peloponnese

Introduction of the Multiplier Event by Dr Niki Evelpidou (NKUA), Kalliopi Baika (AMU)

Guided visit of the selected coastline itineraries by an interdisciplinary team of archaeologists and geologists

12:00

Arrival to Kyllene. Participation to the Open Day of the Kyllene Harbour Project. Visit by snorkelling of the submerged archaeological site during the underwater excavation and 3D recording by the field team
