Matthieu Giaime is a geomorphologist with interests in coastal environment. He have defended my PhD, related to the geoarchaeology of ancient deltaic harbour  in December 2016 in Aix-Marseille University (CEREGE). His research focuses on the Holocene evolution of clastic coasts in order to better understand the evolution of ancient coastal settlements using quantitative palaeoecological methods. During his PhD dedicated to the geoarchaeological study of ancient harbours, he has worked in deltaic environments of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea’s. He is actually involved in a Chinese research program in order to undertake geoarchaeological research in the Yangtze and the Nile delta."
